Tina’s Traditional was founded by native Englander Tina Jesson, a passionate home baker and business entrepreneur, who came to America from England in 2008. Tina started her business by selling her fresh-made scones at farmers markets in the Indianapolis area and went on to develop a tea party catering service at people's homes and churches. She opened the first of 4 Tea Rooms in Carmel Indiana in 2014 and has provided upscale tea service for a number of public venues, historical properties and events across the USA.

The Tina’s Traditional brand has consistently developed over the years to include the Heritage Range of over 20 quality Tina's Traditional loose leaf teas, a range of jams and preserves based on Tina's Grandmother's recipe collection and a range of popular English baked goods and bake mixes such as scones and shortbread.

As a published author, there are a number of cook books available including Tina’s Traditional Book of Scones.

Tina’s Traditional is also well known for the Great British Bake Along classes which were held at the tearooms prior to closing and were made available as virtual classes in 2020 and whose participants range from right across the USA.

Tina's Traditional was also well respected for the British Themed dinner events, Etiquette and Historical Events she has run for the community and for schools.

​

Now focusing on training and education, Tina enjoys taking private tour groups back to the UK, to England where she grew up, went to school and where she got the inspiration for her tearooms and to Scotland to some of her favorite places to visit.
